Destination North East England is developing a Travel Trade Strategy that will support North East England tourism businesses to reach new audiences and our ambitions to double the size of the visitor economy in ten years. We also provide support to help your venue or attraction become travel trade ready.
We are building strong relationships with travel trade, including all intermediaries such as tour operators, wholesalers, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), travel agents and online retailers encouraging them to bring international and domestic visitors and groups into your business.
This brings many opportunities, such as increased visibility, a new route to market and broader reach. Research shows that 1 and 3 international and domestic visitors book trips to Britain as a package using intermediaries. Working with industry, our regional strategy will develop and improve our travel trade product, promote our products to new markets and bring more visitors to our region.
