As a new business Amy tells us why she decided to enter the awards for the first time, and how picking up Gold not only at the North East England Tourism Awards, but also at the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence as benefited her business.

Hotel Indigo, Durham is a luxury hotel in the heart of the city.
As winner of the Gold at the North East England Tourism Awards for Large Hotel of the Year, the hotel went on to compete at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence national award when it picked up the silver in the same category.
General Manager, Tom Orange, says the awards have helped to showcase not only the hotel, but Durham and the wider region.
