The visit comes as Destination North East England enters the final year of delivering the first-ever Destination Development Partnership pilot in England after receiving £2.25 million from the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) in 2021.
The dinner was used as a platform not only to discuss progress and learnings of England’s first regional Destination Development Partnership pilot but to showcase the region’s collective ambition to double the value of the regional visitor economy in ten years.
