The fundraising event at Arthur’s Music & Dining Club, at Fenwick Newcastle, was organised by Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums’ board member and trustee, Helen Cadzow and brought businesses together to network and enjoy lunch and entertainment, whilst raising funds to support work at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums’ learning and community programmes.
The museums and galleries attract around 1 million visits a year and share the stories of the North East region’s past and present. They engage over 150,000 children and young people via education programmes and care for 1.1million objects, artefacts and artworks preserving them for future generations to enjoy. They also deliver targeted wellbeing programmes for some of the most disadvantaged communities in the region including homeless people, people with mental health problems, people living in poverty and people recovering from addiction.
